Jordan Helms
Hello! My name is Jordan Helms. I grew up here in Ashland and I am a Southern Boone graduate. I attended the University of Missouri, where I obtained my bachelor's degree in early childhood education. I started teaching in 2017 and taught 2nd grade and 1st grade before coming to Southern Boone. I started at the primary in 2019 and have loved being a kindergarten teacher since then! I believe to have a successful year, there needs to be support and communication between all. Let's have a great year, and GO EAGLES!

Kassidie Propes
Hello, my name is Kassidie Propes! I am from Jefferson City and I graduated from Missouri State University with my bachelor's degree in early childhood education at the end of 2018. I started teaching kindergarten here at the primary school in 2019 and have loved every minute. I am working on my master's degree in curriculum and instruction and will have that completed by the end of 2022. I love that Ashland is close to my family, but has the support of the community and a great atmosphere. I am so excited to get to know my students, their families, and more members of this amazing community. Go Eagles!

Becky Quinn
I grew up in Columbia and attended Truman State University. I completed my student teaching internship in second grade at Southern Boone in the fall of 2001 and was hired to teach full-time the following year. After thirteen years in second grade, I made the jump to kindergarten. I love my job and I love this community. I am raising my three children here because Ashland is a GREAT place to be!

Karen Himmelberg
Karen graduated with an education degree from Central Missouri State University, in Warrensburg, MO. She has been with the Southern Boone School District since August 2000. She started as an instructional aide in kindergarten until 2014 and then moved into her current position as a kindergarten teacher. Karen believes in educating the whole child, which is not just the academics but also the social and behavioral needs of each individual child.

Sarah Francis
Sarah graduated from the Southern Boone School District and went on to receive her degree in early childhood/elementary education from Southwest Baptist University. She has been teaching kindergarten since the 2005-2006 school year. She loves spending time with her husband Keith and 4 daughters, Brianna, Julia, Josie, and Charlotte. She believes in teaching to the whole child, providing an environment that is safe and caring, and fostering a love for learning through literature, music and movement, and thematic activities.

Lindsey Hammann
Hello! My name is Lindsey Hammann. I grew up in Jefferson City, MO. I attended Missouri State University in Springfield, MO from where I received my bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. I began teaching in 2009 and have many years of experience in teaching both pre-K and kindergarten. I started teaching kindergarten at the primary in 2022. Kindergarten is no doubt where my heart is, and I love getting to spend my days with these eager, young learners. My husband, Brian, and I have 3 children, Hazel and Evelyn, twins, and Henry.

Ashten Meyer
Hello! My name is Ashten Meyer. I started teaching kindergarten in 2017 and I love every minute of it. I am originally from Troy, Missouri but moved to Columbia to attend the University of Missouri. I received my bachelor's degree in elementary education in 2017 and I received my master's degree in learning, teaching and curriculum in 2019. I am so excited to be part of the Southern Boone and Ashland community and look forward to this school year!

Hailey Lowrey
Hello! My name is Hailey Breeden and this is my 4th year teaching kindergarten in the Southern Boone School District. The Southern Boone Primary School is such a wonderful place to be! I am from Harrisburg, Missouri and then attended the University of Missouri. I graduated from Mizzou with a degree in early childhood education. I am currently getting my master's degree from Mizzou in early childhood education. In my free time, I love to play with my dog, Bear, take him on walks, read, and be outside.

Jasmine Rustemeyer
I am a proud member of the Primary Kindergarten Team and have been teaching kindergarten since 2004. I can't imagine a better job! I have taught in Columbia, Kansas, and have been at Southern Boone since 2016. I am originally from Jefferson City and graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in early childhood education, as well as a master's degree in curriculum and instruction, with a focus on literacy. I live in Jefferson City, Missouri with Trent and our twin daughters, Blair and Mila. When I am not at school, I love spending time with my large family and our friends. We love to spend time outdoors and watch the Mizzou Tigers and Cardinals baseball. I also enjoy riding my bike, reading, and going to concerts. I'm looking forward to another great year! Go Eagles!
